Geremia Cerri - FermoinAcquarello

His works are part of private and public collections. Geremia is constantly invited to international watercolor events, representing Italy for this wonderful and challenging technique. Alongside his painting activity, Geremia teaches and holds watercolor painting seminars throughout Italy. In May 2021, the commanding officer of the Amerigo Vespucci, the Italian Navy's training ship, commissioned a work from him to be left on board the vessel. In the same year, after a year of collaboration with Borciani and Bonazzi (a historic brush factory in Cremona), a set of brushes with his signature was released. Over the years, Cerri has participated in national and international events, collective and solo exhibitions, and since 2023, he has been represented by the Lorenza Salamon Fine Art gallery.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN during Geremia's workshop:

The workshop will involve some advanced exercises that will help better understand the works (2) to be executed during the day. Each student must bring their own materials.

MATERIALS REQUIRED: A small spray bottle, sprayer, and sponge. A pencil, eraser, and a rigid support for the paper. Paper: Paper: 300gsm cotton, rough or textured, NOT SMOOTH, in blocks or sheets.

Brushes: soft mop, soft flat brush, round tip for details, liner brush.

Colors: A varied palette of warm and cool, transparent, but also opaque colors. Geremia's color list (not mandatory): Titanium White, Naples Yellow, Permanent Yellow, Raw Umber or Raw Sienna, Pyrrole Orange, Cadmium Red, Alizarin Crimson, Mineral Violet, Potter's Pink, Lavender, Burnt Umber, Burnt Sienna, Ultramarine Blue, Cobalt Blue, Phthalo Blue, Cerulean Blue, Turquoise, Hooker's Green, Black.
